Punjab University research workshop

LAHORE:June 23: Punjab University’s Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) organised a workshop on approaching and managing funded research projects for faculty members of the university. Dr Naveed Ahmad, ORIC Director, resource person Dr Mehboob Ahmad of Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and faculty members from different departments participated in the workshop.

Workshop-cum-refresher course concluded at Punjab University

LAHORE:22 June: A two-day workshop-cum-refresher course concluded at Punjab University’s Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP). According to a press release, the resource person, Professor David Kingdon, was from University of Southampton, UK. He provided training to the participants around core CBT-based components for severe mental illnesses. The focus of the training was on effective integration of various core CBT strategies in developing and implementing individualised treatment.

Punjab University’s HCBF organises anti-corruption seminar

Lahore:23 May:The youth was urged to play its role in eradicating corruption. Senior figures from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and notable academics said it was vital for the younger generation to be proactive when it comes to eliminating such crime. These thoughts were expressed during a seminar at Punjab University’s Hailey College of Banking and Finance’s (HCBF) Character Building Society. Punjab University gets hybrid rice seed

LAHORE:22 May: A team of China’s Wuhan University on Tuesday handed over hybrid rice seed to Punjab University (PU) for hybrid rice breeding in Pakistan, which would bring revolution in agriculture sector. Prof Niaz Ahmad said Punjab University would play its role for betterment of society as well country. He said PU was promoting such research projects which would leave positive impact on society and country. Punjab University awarded PhD degree to Mudassir Mukhtar

Lahore:May 20:Punjab University has awarded PhD degree to Mudassir Mukhtar in the subject of Communication Studies after the approval of his thesis entitled ‘A Comparative analysis of public relations models and roles adaptation patterns among practitioners in public and private sectors: A case of Pakistan’. He has done his research work under the supervision of Incharge PU Institute of Communication Studies Dr Noshina Saleem and Associate Dean from College of Communication and Information, Florida State University USA Prof Dr Stephen D. LAHORE:May 15: Punjab University (PU) Examinations Department has issued the schedule for submission of admission forms for the LLB (5-year) Part-I Annual Examination 2019. According to details, the last date for submission of admission forms for regular candidates of LLB (5-year) Part-I Annual Examination 2019 with single fee is 20-5-19 while the forms can be submitted with double fee till 24-5-19. PU rewarded Book lovers on World Book Day

LAHORE:10 May: Punjab University Library in a programme presented ten book lover awards to its highly engaged readers on the occasion of World Book Day 2019. Since 2012, each year the library is organising this event to encourage book reading among university students. Shahzeb Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of English Language and Literature, was invited to the occasion and in a brief talk he shared valuable sights on how the students can make their book reading habit more productive for themselves.
