LAHORE:20 August: Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun has said that the concept of one subject based universities would be amended and college sector would be improved through systematic amendments. He said this was addressing the 353rd meeting of Punjab University Senate at Senate Hall, Old Campus here Monday. LAHORE :09 August: Punjab University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (PVC) Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar has said that Pakistan and Kashmiri people would not accept special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir by Indian Parliament. He was addressing the convocation of PU Hailey College of Commerce at a hotel here Thursday. In all, 430 graduates of MPhil, MCom, MCom IT, BCom (Hons) and BCom IT received degrees while 30 medals were distributed at the convocation. Lahore:02 August: Punjab University (PU) has issued the schedule for submission of admission fee and forms for BA/BSc Part-I and Part-II supplementary examinations, 2019, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Part-I and II supplementary examinations 2019 and BA (Hearing-Impaired Students) supplementary examinations 2019. The last date for submission of admission forms for the exams is August 22, 2019. The date of commencement of the exams will be announced later. LAHORE :31 July: Punjab University on Tuesday announced the top position holders of BA/BSc Annual Examination 2019, according to which, BSc student Noshaba Zafar (Roll number 082275) got overall first position and obtained 714 marks. BSc student Iqra Anmol (Roll number 059618) got second position by securing 682 marks while BSc student Abeeha Fatima (Roll number 074640) stood third by securing 673 marks.

LAHORE :July 25: A group of 17 students of 6th semester of Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (ICET) are on two months summer internship programme at Universiti Teknologi Petronas Malaysia as part of MoU signed between Universiti Teknologi Petronas and University of the Punjab. The students would be carrying out research projects under the joint supervision of faculties of chemical engineering in both universities on membrane synthesis, adsorption, biodiesel and biogas production, biomass, catalysis, process simulation, water treatment and advanced materials.
