Virtual University , and University of Engineering sign MoU

Lahore:June 23:Virtual University (VU) and University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for research, development, innovation and joint education.

VU Rector Dr Naveed A Malik and UET Taxila Vice-Chancellor Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar signed the MoU. Both the institutions agreed to exchange relevant technical information and provide support in the field of education.

Probe into irregularity in laptop distribution

Rawalpindi:June 21:The Punjab government has constituted a team to probe into the distribution mechanism and find out whether any kind of irregularity was conducted during distribution of laptops among the university students in the Rawalpindi district.

The committee comprising Prof. Shafaq Dar, Prof. Muhammad Saleem and Lecturer Saleem Bhatti would get details about distribution mechanism from various universities including Arid University Rawalpindi, Government Post Graduate College (Sixth Road) and Rawalpindi Medical College.

Seminar on ‘Quality Assurance in Higher Education

Rawalpindi:June 18:Riphah International University and Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan (QPSP) jointly organised a national seminar on ‘Quality Assurance in Higher Education’ here on Friday at Riphah International University.

The objective of the seminar was to discuss the key challenges in implementing the quality assurance mechanism in Pakistani universities. The session was attended by various quality assurance experts, deans, directors and faculty members from more than 40 public and private sector universities of the country.

Global Educational campaign organise Iftar for Orphans

Karachi:June 18:In keeping with the essence of holy month of Ramazan, “Who is Hussain? (Karachi)”, a global educational campaign, will organise an Iftar-dinner for orphans and underprivileged citizens, according a press release issued on Friday.
