FAISALABAD:24 March: As many as 150 pilgrims, arriving from Taftan, were shifted to the PARS campus of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF). Pilgrims were transported to the quarantine facility in seven buses. The 150 pilgrims will be kept in quarantine for 14 days, where medical staff will perform duties in three shifts. Police and staff on duty wear gloves and masks. The pilgrims included women and children. All these pilgrims will be screened and their report will be ready in three days.

FAISALABAD:02 June: The 315th meeting of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Syndicate on Saturday discussed the critical issues relating to the R&D, governance and approval of various decisions tabled for deliberation. UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf presided over the meeting. The VC welcomed the newly appointed member Prof Dr Nasir Amin who would represent the Higher Education Commission in the varsity Syndicate. He said that foremost agenda of creating a university was to generate advanced knowledge and disseminate it through meaningful services, product and technology.
Fasialabad:29 May:Addressing the meeting of executive committee of UAF run Laboratory High School and College System, he said that modern teaching methods and digital techniques will be ensured in the UAF-run Laboratory School. IPS, Heibi University of China ink deal for research He said that every year, the students from the Laboratory School were gaining top positions in the board examinations which is an honour for the university.

The seminar was arranged by University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) at New Senate on Thursday. FAISALABAD:12 January: University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa Friday announced donating his seven acres of land to the Akhuwat Trust for educational purposes. Chairing the steering meeting of Akhuwat, the VC said helping the disadvantage class and work for their welfare would result in the progress of the country. He said his land near Gojra should be used to raise educational level and bring prosperity in the area.

LAHORE :13 July: The doctors’ community has demanded a fair inquiry into a case of a female doctor, Dr Mahwish Ameen, who is facing sexual harassment by her teacher at the Punjab Medical University, Faisalabad for the last three years. Dr Ameen submitted a written complaint to the university’s vice chancellor and the university has set up an inquiry committee to deal with the matter. The committee has asked both the parties to appear before the inquiry committee next week.

People in large numbers thronged the university to witness competitions being held among different varsities. Faisalabad:April 1:Murderers of a Government College University Faisalabad student remain at large as the police still struggle to arrest the culprits. Three days ago, a Government College University student A* was kidnapped by unidentified people in broad daylight and was killed after being subjected to sexual abuse, Express News reported. The student’s body was discovered from a drain in Dijkot while the post-mortem report confirmed the deceased was sexually abused. Faisalabad police is still unable to get hold of the culprits and the murderers are still at large.
