App to promote Urdu literature launched

LAHORE :01 May:The largest virtual platform of Urdu literature has launched its android app with the objective of promoting and disseminating Urdu literature to its global readership from over 160 countries across the globe. According to communiqué released by the platform, the resource provides the works of the highest number of poets compared to any other site in this genre. The foundation is also running a free-of-cost website, which is the largest online repository of Urdu poetry anywhere with over 40,000 Ghazals and Nazms of over 4,500 poets of over the last three centuries.

Ambassador of Indonesia announced of special scholarships for VU students

Lahore:24 January: Iwan Suyudhie Amri, ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, visited Virtual University (VU), M.A Jinnah Campus here on Thursday. According to a press release, Ehsen Zafar Puri, director ICT, along with Mohsin Javed, registrar and others received the guest. The ambassador of Indonesia made announcement of special scholarships for VU students and staff members. Virtual University inaugurated its new Data Centre in Lahore

Lahore: 21 January:Rector Naeem Tariq, Ehsen Zafar Puri, Director ICT, principal officers, deans, directors and staff of the university attended the ceremony. Focal person of the data center, Engr Syed Naushad, said, “This data center complies with security and threat advisories received from time to time from HEC and other government security agencies. The data center has been established indigenously, saving millions of rupees for the university,” he added.

Seminar “Emerging Trends in Computer Science” at Virtual University
