Addressing on the occasion, he said we are well aware of the mental and physical health of our students and teachers because, in order to excel in our studies, we have to be mentally and physically fit. He expressed hope that the fitness centre would be proved very useful for the teachers, staff and students of the university.
Lahore:14 July: The 4th consultative session “Higher Education in Pakistan: Challenges and Opportunities” was held on Friday at University of Education’s Township campus. According to a press release, representatives of federal Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab HEC, Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of various universities and other stakeholders attended the event. Vice-Chancellor University of Education Dr Rauf-e-Azam said the dialogue was aimed to discuss the problems being faced by higher education sector and put forward meaningful recommendations.
LAHORE: 30 March: A national level organisation, working on youth development, in collaboration with University of Education (UE), Lahore and Oxfam Pakistan held a seminar on “Engaging Youth for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. The seminar was organised to provide orientation and awareness to youths about the SDGs specifically in the context of Pakistan. The topics that were brought into discussion were mainly three SDGs, which were SDG-5 (Gender Equality), SDG-8 (Sustained, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth) and SDG-16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) respectively.

According to a press release, speaking on the occasion, University of Education Vice-Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam lauded the achievements of HEC during the last 15 years and said because of HEC, higher education was being spread in Pakistan at a great speed.

Lahore:22 august:The syndicate of University of Education (UOE) in its 51st meeting held on Monday approved the varsity’s annual budget of Rs1.844 billion for financial year 2017-18. The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam. According to budget details, a sum of Rs1.425 billion has been reserved for non-development while 418.301 million will be spent on development projects.
