Rawalpindi :December 28: An orientation ceremony for the new students of Agriculture Faculty was held at the Pir Mehr Ali Shah, Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) Research Farm Koont, here on Wednesday. The ceremony is a regular activity of the University which is arranged for the newly-enrolled students to familiarise them with the university's environment, its rules and regulations, so that students can sail smoothly while earning their degree and harvest optimal benefits out of available facilities.

Rawalpindi:December 11: District Education Authority (DEA) have decided to take action against public and private schools, particularly those not following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), issued by the Punjab Government to ensure security of the students. It was decided in a meeting that the schools, violating orders of the government and not sufficient security arrangements, would be sealed. Special teams have been formed to conduct raids and check security arrangements of the schools.
Rawalpindi:December 10: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday sealed 13 schools canteens for selling carbonated cola drinks during a special drive to ensure safe and healthy food to children in schools. Additional Director General (Operations) Rafia Haider informed that PFA’s teams visited 589 public and private schools during whole day activity in Punjab. PFA teams served improvement notices to 314 canteens and imposed fine on 12 school canteens for not conforming to PFA instruction.
Rawalpindi:December 5: A six members delegation from Guizhou Academy of Sciences, China headed by Prof. Zhang Hongjiang visited Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) to see the potential for development of mountainous agriculture, situation of economic crop cultivation in Pakistan, sharing information regarding agricultural products & crop pest control and to explore the further possibilities to exchange technical knowledge and establish a mutual working relationship between both the institutions.
RAWALPINDI:02 December: Punjab government employees will not get a holiday today (Friday) as government officials have been asked to come to work to attend Mehfil-i-Milad functions being held in their departments. According to a notification, the offices of the local government will remain open on Eid Miladun Nabi and the staff will not go on leave.
Rawalpindi:27 November: All public and private schools, colleges and universities in the province including Rawalpindi will remain close today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) due to the law and order situation in the province particularly the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Punjab government on Sunday decided to close down all educational institutions and a notification has been issued in this regard. Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood Ahmed has confirmed that all educational institutions (public and private) in the province will remain close on November 27 and 28.

Rawalpindi :November 22: The annual reunion of Anglo Arabic Public Higher Secondary School Rawalpindi was an eventful ceremony where amidst hugs and laughter, the boys and girls revived the old memories cherishing those wonderful moments of their teen life. A large number of old students of the Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School came from across the country to attend the ceremony particularly as part of Golden Jubilee celebrations of the school and cherished the old memories. They had ample opportunity to reconnect with classmates during an elegant gala.
