SLS schools arrange Welcome Back Week

Rawalpindi :14 September : All campuses of Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori and High School had a Welcome Back Week planned for their students after their summer holidays, says a press release. Enjoyable welcome back activities were planned by teachers for their grade levels to have the students communicate with each other and to share stories from their summer holidays with their classmates and teachers.

Girls top in all three groups of HSSC exams of RBISE

Rawalpindi:September 12: The girls once again proving their metal in intelligence overhauled the boy students in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Examination conducted by Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) in April, this year. According to the results announced by RBISE the girls topped in all three groups and the boys remained far behind thus failing to achieve top slots in the HSSC annual examination.

Roots Garden Schools celebrate Independence Day

Rawalpindi:August 28:Independence Day was celebrated in all branches of Roots Garden Schools / Roots DHA I/ IVY schools with full zeal and zest. The main objective of this event was to inculcate patriotism and moral values in students and love for the country. Out of city RBISE office creates problems for public

Rawalpindi:22 august: For more than four years, students and parents are facing worst kind of difficulties in approaching Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) which was shifted to Morgah Village far away from city localities. The board office was shifted in 2013 from Sixth Road, which was heart of city and easily approachable for parents and students.

Fruit Fly Management Week begins at Arid Agriculture University Rawalpind

Rawalpindi:22 august: Fruit Fly Management Week from August 21 to 26 commenced at Pir Mehr Ali Shah - Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Monday in compliance with the directions of Secretary Agriculture, Government of Punjab. The objective to observe this week is to promote and practice management practices for management of fruit flies at mass scale in the province. This campaign is being launched in all districts of Punjab simultaneously.

153 school buildings in Pindi district in dilapidated condition

RAWALPINDI:August 18: Although an amount of Rs2.449 billion has already been spent on dilapidated school buildings, but 153 buildings of government educational institutions remain threat to students, teachers and other staff member. In 2015, district education department had declared 270 educational institutions buildings in Rawalpindi dangerous which had to be repaired by the provincial government in phases.

Education should be treated to produce better humans’

Rawalpindi::August 15:We should consider education as a faculty that produces better human beings and changes behaviour for the better rather than as a tool for getting a lucrative job. This exhortation was made by noted educationist Khushbakht Shujaat while speaking as a motivational speaker on the third and final day of a seminar titled “Women’s Empowerment”, held at the Global Marquee in town on Monday afternoon. The theme for the day was ‘Women tackling challenges in education’.

Poets pay tribute to Pakistan Movement leaders at RAC

RAWALPINDI:12 August: Poets paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders of the Pakistan Movement at a mehfil-e-mushaira titled: "Sarmaya-e-Watan" organised under the auspices of the Rawalpindi Arts Council at its auditorium. Prof Anwar Masud presided over the mushaira. Prof Munawar Hashmi was the chief guest and Naseem-e-Sahar was the guest of honor at the grand event. It was anchored by poetess Dur-e-Shehwar.

Student thesis exhibited at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:12 August: The Fatima Jinnah Women University student’s of MFA and BFA exhibited their creative and innovative art work in the ‘Thesis Display 2016’ here on Friday in university premises. The display of 2017 was a magnificent show of creativity, innovation and professional approach of the Fine Arts students. R.M. Naeem (senior artist) inaugurated the display.

Students display projects at Open House

Rawalpindi:09 August: The 10th Open House held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) here on Tuesday. The event was organised by University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) with an aim to provide a platform to the students not only to showcase their projects but also to strengthen the linkage between industry and academia as well as enable students to understand market trends.

Role of ‘Madar-e-Millat’ in Pakistan movement lauded

Rawalpindi:August 4: ‘Madar-e-Millat’ Fatimah Jinnah not only played a leading role in Pakistan Movement by supporting her brother Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah but also played a pioneering role in the movement for revival of parliamentary democracy in Pakistan. This was stated by the leader of the House in Senate of Pakistan, Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq in his presidential address at a Seminar organised by Quaid-e-Azam Thinker Forum of Anjuman Faizul Islam, Rawalpindi.

Hard work of teachers lauded

Rawalpindi:31July:Principal of Government Girls High School Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Naseem Kausar said the untiring efforts of teachers of her school helped achieve first position in the Arts Group in the Rawalpindi Board Matriculation Examinations 2017. "Our school lacks adequate funds but despite that the teachers put in their best efforts and help students excel in all subjects. This achievement is a result of joint efforts by the students and the teachers and I hope we will also continue in future," she said.
