Rawalpindi :14 March: Department of Software Engineering, FJWU in collaboration with the Pakistan Engineering Council and the IEEE FJWU student branch here Wednesday organised a CPD workshop on ‘Wireless Communication Technologies in IOT.’ Resource person of the workshop was Dr. Syed Ali Hassan and he is working as an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST, where he is heading the IPT research group, which focuses on various aspects of theoretical communications.The news.

HEC celebrates Women’s Day at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:09 March: On the International Women's Day, Higher Education Commission has organized a Women’s Day event at Fatima Jinnah Women University here on Friday to celebrate the achievements and successful stories of student’s scholarship recipients of USAID Funded Merit and Need Based Scholarship Programme. The event was honouring all girls who have broken barriers to achieve their goals and have embarked upon of success.

Rawalpindi :08 March: Library of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) organised annual book fair from March 6 to 8 which was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir. Book Fair aimed at providing an opportunity to the students and Faculty members to find out the books of their interest under one roof and to promote book-reading habit among them.

Fatima Jinnah Women University five day training Workshop

Rawalpindi:February 2: Women Research and Resource Center (WRRC), Fatima Jinnah Women University organized a five day (January 28 to February 1, 2019) training workshop for the facilitators of “Active Citizenship Program (ACP)” in collaboration with British Council. The MOU for this program was signed between British Council and Fatima Jinnah Women University in 2016.

Montessori workshops held at Sadeeqa’s Learning System

Rawalpindi :14 June: A series of 6-day centralised Montessori workshops were held at Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori and High School, says a press release. The workshops were held at the Peshawar Road Campus and were attended by all the Montessori teachers and Head Directresses from different campuses of SLS School as a part of the Education Improvement Programme at SLS. The workshops focused on lesson demonstration with special emphasis on activities to enhance the reading skills of the students following their ORT (Oxford Reading Tree) readers.

Seminar on violence against women held at FJWU

Rawalpindi :23 November:Women Research Centre (WRRC) organised a lecture titled: ‘Women Empowerment and Violence against Women: Issues and Challenges’ to commemorate 16 days of Activism against Gender based violence. Gender-based violence is a human rights violation and a serious obstacle to women’s progress in all areas of life including health, education, work and participation in society was the base of seminar.

No Littering Day celebrated at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:November 5:National Cleaner Production Centre in collaboration with Army Heritage Foundation celebrated No Littering Day at Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi. The purpose of this activity was to motivate and mobilize people about waste segregation concept. Students from Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and Hassan Academy of Special Education participated in the event.

Rawalpindi:September 22: Placement office, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has organised a certificate distribution ceremony with collaboration of Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies here on Wednesday. For the completion of a degree at FJWU, internship is mandatory. Placement office FJWU deals with the university policy and helps the students secure internships at various organizations related to their field of education.

Rawalpindi :20 september:Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with HEC is organising a post training session on ‘Creating and Strengthening the Awareness of Financial Linkages among the Young Women Entrepreneurs in the Rural Areas of Rawalpindi District’ under the Social Integration outreach program here on Tuesday. Student thesis exhibited at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:12 August: The Fatima Jinnah Women University student’s of MFA and BFA exhibited their creative and innovative art work in the ‘Thesis Display 2016’ here on Friday in university premises. The display of 2017 was a magnificent show of creativity, innovation and professional approach of the Fine Arts students. R.M. Naeem (senior artist) inaugurated the display.
