No Littering Day celebrated at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:November 5:National Cleaner Production Centre in collaboration with Army Heritage Foundation celebrated No Littering Day at Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi. The purpose of this activity was to motivate and mobilize people about waste segregation concept. Students from Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and Hassan Academy of Special Education participated in the event.

World Rabies Day observed at Agriculture University Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi:October 3: World Rabies Day observed at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Monday, under the theme ‘Zero death in 30.’ The seminar was arranged by PMAS-AAUR Department of Clinical studies, Faculty of Veterinary & animal Sciences at PMAS-AAUR, with an aim to create awareness among people about human & animal rabies and to emphasize on its prevention techniques.

Fatima Jinnah University Certificate distribution ceremony

Rawalpindi:September 22: Placement office, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has organised a certificate distribution ceremony with collaboration of Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies here on Wednesday. For the completion of a degree at FJWU, internship is mandatory. Placement office FJWU deals with the university policy and helps the students secure internships at various organizations related to their field of education.

Post-training session at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi :20 september:Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with HEC is organising a post training session on ‘Creating and Strengthening the Awareness of Financial Linkages among the Young Women Entrepreneurs in the Rural Areas of Rawalpindi District’ under the Social Integration outreach program here on Tuesday. Guest speaker of the seminar was Tania Buttar, deputy general manager (Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell, WEDC).She aware the students and entrepreneurs about SMEDA, a public sector organization working under ministry of industries and production.

Fruit Fly Management Week begins at Arid Agriculture University Rawalpind

Rawalpindi:22 august: Fruit Fly Management Week from August 21 to 26 commenced at Pir Mehr Ali Shah - Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Monday in compliance with the directions of Secretary Agriculture, Government of Punjab. The objective to observe this week is to promote and practice management practices for management of fruit flies at mass scale in the province. This campaign is being launched in all districts of Punjab simultaneously.

Student thesis exhibited at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:12 August: The Fatima Jinnah Women University student’s of MFA and BFA exhibited their creative and innovative art work in the ‘Thesis Display 2016’ here on Friday in university premises. The display of 2017 was a magnificent show of creativity, innovation and professional approach of the Fine Arts students. R.M. Naeem (senior artist) inaugurated the display.

Students display projects at Open House

Rawalpindi:09 August: The 10th Open House held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) here on Tuesday. The event was organised by University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) with an aim to provide a platform to the students not only to showcase their projects but also to strengthen the linkage between industry and academia as well as enable students to understand market trends.

Entrepreneurship programme ends at Fatima Jinnah University

Rawalpindi:July 27: Two days training programme on ‘Creating and Strengthening the awareness of Financial Linkages among the Young Women Entrepreneur in Rural Areas of Rawalpindi’ organised by Fatima Jinnah women University and Higher Education Commission Pakistan concluded here on Wednesday. The aim of the workshop was to create the awareness among students about the entrepreneurship and business plans and how strengthen the financial linkages among young women in rural areas.

2,820 graduates awarded degrees at PMAS

Rawalpindi:May 26:A total 2,820 graduates were awarded degrees, while 59 decorated with medals in the 18th convocation of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) here on Thursday. 43 graduates got gold medals, 8 silver medals, 8 bronze medals while 1785 postgraduate, 1,000 undergraduate and 35 Ph.D graduates were awarded with degrees. Two students also achieved the gold medals sponsored by the Bank of Punjab while a student of Literacy Centre also received gold medal.

A major step in medical education, health care improvement

Rawalpindi:21May:A number of health experts serving in this region of the country appreciated the efforts of provincial health department and Secretary Health Najam Shah for launching of Rawalpindi Medical University, Nishtar Medical University and Faisalabad Medical University. According to many health experts, the launching of medical universities will not only raise the standards of medical education but also health care facilities by producing more and competent specialists in the province.

Poster Competition held at Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:May 17:Poster competition and painting exhibition were organised by Sadequain Art Spectrum in collaboration with Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) to provide a platform to young talent of the region here on Tuesday. Member Punjab Assembly Lubna Rehan Pirzada inaugurated the exhibition while on the occasion former Director RAC, Naheed Manzoor, Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed, Chaudhry Waseem Sajjad, Gulzar Ali and Sundas Qayyum were present.
