Rawalpindi :14 June: A series of 6-day centralised Montessori workshops were held at Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori and High School, says a press release. The workshops were held at the Peshawar Road Campus and were attended by all the Montessori teachers and Head Directresses from different campuses of SLS School as a part of the Education Improvement Programme at SLS. The workshops focused on lesson demonstration with special emphasis on activities to enhance the reading skills of the students following their ORT (Oxford Reading Tree) readers.

Rawalpindi :23 May: A seminar on beekeeping to observe World Bee Day held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday. The seminar was organised by the PMAS-AAUR department of Entomology with an aim to create awareness regarding importance of bees in pollination and as a source of honey and other products like prospolis, wax, pollen and royal jelly etc.

Rawalpindi:April 25:As many as 3,613 graduates of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) were awarded degrees while 74 students were decorated with medals at the 19th convocation, here on Tuesday. As many as 26 students received PhD degrees, 656 were awarded MPhil & MS degrees, 1,450 secured masters degrees, while 1,481 students got undergraduate degree in their respective disciplines. Gold medals were awarded to 49 students on their outstanding performance in their academic record while 13 bagged silver and 12 secured bronze in the convocation.

Rawalpindi:February 23: An inauguration ceremony of ‘Supply of Compost to University Research Farm (URF)’ was held on Thursday at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR). Compost is obtained from the decomposed organic material of Mehr Biogas Model which was designed by PMAS-AAUR to meet the domestic needs of biogas and electricity through biomass-bio-energy technology.
Rawalpindi:February 14:The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the committee of experts from various universities of the country visited of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday. The purpose of the visit was to review the PMAS-AAUR MS/M.Phil/Equivalent & Ph.D Programs’ compliance with the HEC's minimum criteria/guidelines set for these programmes.
Rawalpindi:10 February:Quaid-i-Azam University has broken into the top 100 universities of Asia while it is listed among the top 500 in the world, according to the latest rankings issued by the Times Higher Education (THE) at the 2018 Asia Universities Summit in China, local media reported on Thursday. This year, Pakistan only had one varsity in the top 500 and a total of four in the top 1,000 universities in the world.
