FBISE HSSC annual exam (part I & II) in next month

Lahore :23 March: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) will hold the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) annual examinations (part I & II) in the middle of the next month. According to the schedule announced by FBISE controller of examinations (conduct) Fatima Tahira, the Higher Secondary School Certificate (part I & II) examinations 2019 will begin on April 17 and will end on May 27.The news.

An awareness seminar at University of Engineering

LAHORE :March 22: An awareness seminar was organised by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET). NAB Additional Director Rubina spoke about different types of corruption and its prevention. She also shed light on rules and regulations of NAB and created awareness about efforts being made by NAB to eliminate corruption. School enrolment to be monitored DEAS

LAHORE :March 22: A meeting of CEOs of provincial district education authorities (DEAs) has discussed the ongoing enrolment campaign in schools, ongoing reforms programme and other recent initiatives. Punjab Minister for School Education Murad Raas presided over the meeting. The minister, speaking on the occasion, said the enrolment campaign across the province would be monitored via tech-based School Information System (SIS). In order to ensure public participation in the campaign, help would also be sought from school councils, parents and religious scholars, he added.

Shahbaz shut 10,000 schools for the poor

Lahore:21 March: Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said when he was chief minister, his government provided free education, books and stipends to schoolchildren to bringing the children of the poor to the government schools. “I am worried that contrary to our measures, Shahbaz Sharif closed down 10,000 schools where the children of the poor were getting education. I always ask Chief Minister Usman Buzdar that he should start from where we had left,” said the PA Speaker during the inauguration of a campus of a private school in Gujrat on Wednesday.

Swiss ambassador visits University of Veterinary Sciences at Pattoki

LAHORE :21 March: Swiss Ambassador to Pakistan Thomas Kolly visited the Ravi Campus of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Pattoki on Wednesday and stressed the need for increasing public-private partnerships in view of the climate change challenges. The ambassador held a meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and senior faculty members to discuss the climate change, the current year’s prolonged winter season’s bad effects on agriculture and livestock, water conservation and public-private cooperation to mitigate the effects of climate change.

DC visits exam centers to check cheating

Rawalpindi :15 March: The Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa made surprise visits to different examination centers to check cheating among students on Thursday. He also checked security arrangements all around examination centers and directed police officials to keep an eye on suspected persons. The Chief Officer (Education) Qazi Zahoor was also with Deputy Commissioner during the visits.
