LAHORE:05 August: Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed has inaugurated “Adopt a Tree' campaign launched by the university’s Academic Staff Association (ASA) on New Campus. PU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar, ASA President Prof Dr Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry, Secretary Javed Sami, Resident Officer-II Malik Muhammad Zaheer, faculty members and their families were also present on the occasion.

LAHORE:03 August: Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht has said that the Higher Education Department (HED) must ensure enrolment of more students in colleges which will prove its performance. He said this while presiding over a meeting organised by chief minster’s special monitoring unit (SMU) to analyse the Higher Education Department’s three-month performance. A special representation must be given to private universities in the Universities’ Act; the minister said adding that addition of community colleges for provision of two-year degree would provide a positive impact.
LAHORE:02 August: A technical awareness seminar for the guidance of farmers and professionals on “Recent Advances in Enzyme Nutrition for Poultry” was held at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) here on Thursday. UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the inaugural session of the seminar. Lahore:02 August: Punjab University (PU) has issued the schedule for submission of admission fee and forms for BA/BSc Part-I and Part-II supplementary examinations, 2019, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Part-I and II supplementary examinations 2019 and BA (Hearing-Impaired Students) supplementary examinations 2019. The last date for submission of admission forms for the exams is August 22, 2019. The date of commencement of the exams will be announced later. Karachi:August 1:The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the East SSP, the Jamshed Quarters SHO and others on a contempt-of-court application seeking action against the chief secretary, the SSP, the Jamshed Quarters police and others for violating court orders in the Islamic Education Trust (IET) case. The applicant, Syed Mureed Ali Shah, submitted in the application that the SHC had cancelled the trust deed with regard to the appointment of new trustees and restrained a man, Mohammad Hussain, and other illegal trustees of the IET from interfering in the trust’s affairs.
LAHORE :31 July: Punjab University on Tuesday announced the top position holders of BA/BSc Annual Examination 2019, according to which, BSc student Noshaba Zafar (Roll number 082275) got overall first position and obtained 714 marks. BSc student Iqra Anmol (Roll number 059618) got second position by securing 682 marks while BSc student Abeeha Fatima (Roll number 074640) stood third by securing 673 marks.
LAHORE :30 July: Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore and rest of the eight BISEs of the province are likely to announce the result of Intermediate (Part-II) Annual Examinations 2019 on September 4. Meanwhile, the BISE Lahore has announced that the last date for online registration of regular students of Class-XI (Session 2019-201) will be September 4, 2019. A BISE spokesperson said after the last date the regular students could get registered online with a fine from September 5 to September 19, 2019.The news.
Lahore:30 July:University of Health Sciences (UHS) has extended the last date of online registration for Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) until August 01. In a press release issued Monday, the UHS spokesperson said the decision was made to facilitate potential candidates. “We have received several emails for extension in registration date. So far, 75,307 candidates have been registered for MDCAT,” reads the press release.The news.

LAHORE:29 July: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced that Urdu will be the medium of education across primary schools of Punjab in the next academic year, starting from March 2020. In a tweet, the chief minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) aimed to provide education in Urdu at the primary level. The Department of School Education carried out a survey, asking students, parents and teachers of 22 districts about their preferred medium of education. In each category, more than 85% of the people were in favour of Urdu.
