Work on Guru Nanak University to start soon’

Lahore:December10: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq has said the Board has earned a lot recently through new construction and auction of its property. Talking to media here at his residence on Friday after chairing 307th Board meeting, he said that foundation stone of Baba Guru Nanak International University and Gandhara University would be laid soon and teachers and staff of international standard would be hired to run these institutes.

Fodder Production Workshop at University of Veterinary Sciences

Sindh university students Visit Punjab University

Lahore:December 09: A group of 50 girl students from different departments of Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, visited Punjab University’s Institute of Agricultural Sciences on Thursday. The visit was a part of All Pakistan Students Study Tour to different universities/degree awarding institutes. The students were led by Dr Muhammad Javed Sheikh, assistant professor, Department of Rural Sociology and Dr Shahla Baloch, assistant professor, Department of Biotechnology, as tour coordinators.

Tevta to start Chinese language, other courses

Lahore:December 09: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) with the collaboration of Jinan University, China, will promote Chinese language and other vocational training courses in its institutes. Promotion of Chinese language in Punjab will lead towards formation of an effective economic block in the region through a long-term partnership of Pakistan with China.

IQRA Literacy Program launched

Lahore:December 08:The launch of the IQRA Literacy Program was announced at a ceremony held at a local hotel on November 30, 2016, by Deaf Reach Schools, a project of Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF). Designed exclusively for Pakistan by WISE award-winning Dr Ricardo Rosas and a team from Santiago, Chile, in collaboration with Deaf Reach, the IQRA program is innovative software that teaches reading and writing skills to deaf children, according to a press release issued by the FESF on Wednesday.

Student exchange programme: Degree course in plant sciences launched

FAISALABAD:07 December: The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and Dalhousie University, Canada launched a joint degree programme in BS Plant Sciences on Tuesday. SLS School holds badminton tournament

Rawalpindi:December 07:A four-day Inter-campus Badminton Tournament was held at Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori & High School, says a press release.
