IUB faculty member attends international conference

Bahawalpur: 06 May: Ms. Munazza Fatima, Lecturer in Department of Geography the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has achieved an honor for herself and IUB to represent Pakistan in an International Conference on Sustainable Development Research. The 17th edition of the conference is being hosted by the Columbia University in New York, USA, from May 8th to 10th, 2011 with the collaboration of United Nations Division for Sustainable Development. Ms. Munazza Fatima has already achieved the honor of attending two international events abroad. The first one was the Annual Meeting of Association of American Geographers in Washington USA, last year and in December, 2010, she represented two research papers on “Climate Change and Environmental Challenges of 21st Century” in an International Seminar, hosted by University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Miss Munazza has expressed her gratitude to the Vice Chancellor IUB, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the provision of funds for her traveling to enable her to present research paper in the conference.
