Lahore: Punjab University College of Art & Design on Friday organised a ceremony here at Senate Hall, Old Campus in the honour of renowned Architecture and Cartoonist Prof Dr Shoukat Mahmood who got Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi, Amjad Islam Amjad, Cartoonist Javed Iqbal, Incharge Fine Arts Govt Post Graduate College Rawalpindi Mamoona Khan, Dr Ejaz Ahmad, Principal College of Art and Design Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masood, faculty member and a large number of students were also present in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion Vice-Chancellor congratulated Prof Dr Shoukat Mahmood and said that it was an honour for Punjab University that Dr Shoukat Mahmood's services are available. Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi said that Shoukat Mahmood has very nice sense of humor and he is one of them who are respected from deep heart. Amjad Islam Amjad said to became a good cartoonist one must be a good artist and Dr Shoukat Mahmood has both the qualities.
Dr Javed Iqbal said that he started his career by inspiring Dr Shoukat Mahmood and adopted this field with enthusiasm despite having skills in architecture and Islamic calligraphy.
Mamoona Khan, Sameera Jawad, Dr Ejaz Ahmad, Muhammad Javed and Dr Anees Siddiqi also addressed the ceremony. The nation
