PU holds “Hai Jazba Junoon” rally to support national team

LAHORE : Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET) Director Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Hassan Rizvi led “Hai Jazba Junoon” rally, to express solidarity with the Pakistani cricket team, at the start of Institute's sports gala. The rally started from the Institute and concluded at University grounds, New Campus. Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology Prof Dr Javed Ahmad, Director Sports Zafar Rasheed and a large number of students attended the rally. The students, holding national flags wearing colourful dresses, raised slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad.' Dr Zahoor-ul-Hassan, at the end of rally, said Pakistani team had high spirits and the day was not far when the national team would return with the world cup. Prof Dr Javed Ahmad said the sports gala organizing team had provided great physical training opportunities to the students.

Eight teams will compete in cricket, football, volley ball, athletics, table tennis, badminton, chess and tug-of-war categories in the 3-day sports gala.
