40 high-achievers get Medals, Cash prizes by Punjab Board of Technical Education

Lahore:April 20:Forty high-achievers of different diplomas and technologies were awarded medals and cash prizes by the Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) in a ceremony here on Tuesday for performing exceptional in the annual examination of 2015.

In Diploma of Commerce and Business Administration, Obaid Nizam got first position and won the gold medal along with cash prize of Rs30,000. Nazam Sehrish won the silver medal along with Rs20,000 cash prize and Tayyaba Yasmeen won bronze medal along with Rs15,000 cash prize.

In Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) and Diploma in Dress Making and Designing Usman Rauf received gold medal and Rs30,000 for overall first position. Abdul Wahid won silver medal with Rs20,000 and Muhammad Tanzeel Javed won bronze medal with Rs15,000 cash prize.

Kushboo won gold medal in Matric Tech and Robina Yasmeen won gold medal in Matric Vocational. Saleh Riaz won gold medal in Diploma in Special Education.

Punjab Minister for Industries Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique was the chief guest who distributed medals and cash prizes among the position-holders.

Parliamentary Secretary of Information and Culture Rana Arshad was the guest of honour.

Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique said the Punjab government was investing a lot in expanding the technical education.

PBTE Chairperson Ms Saima Javed said PBTE conducted annual examinations of 300 different technical courses and issued diplomas/certificates to approximately 40,000 pass-outs. She said technical education was flourishing in Punjab because of keen interest of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.The news.
