Lahore:April 06:Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that education can solve every issue, including corruption, lawlessness and extremism.
Addressing a function in connection with distribution of cash prizes and commendation certificates to the winners of essay-writing and speech competition 2015 here on Tuesday, he said a movement rising from educational institutions could be a successful solution to our chronic problems.
Rana Mashhood said the government was providing best platform to students to go forward for earning good name to their country, adding teachers had a very important role to play in the cause of national construction because they could develop a force of students to get the destination of progress and development.
EDO Education Lahore Pervaiz Akhtar, parents, teachers and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
An amount of Rs6.4 million was distributed among the position-holder students. The first prize for essay-writing was awarded to Hafiz Ubaidullah Zia while Zoya Khan won the first position in English speech competition.
The minister said the Punjab government had a clear vision to bring all the children working at brick-kilns and other child labour spots. He said through enrolment campaign, the government was committed not to leave a single child out of school up to 2017. The news.
