LAHORE:18 August:Hundreds of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) Pakistan activists on Friday rallied on Friday to express solidarity with Palestinians.
The last Friday of Ramazan was observed as Yaumul Quds in which rallies were taken out in different cities across the country. The participants in the rallies protested against Israeli atrocities on innocent Palestinians.
In the provincial metropolis, the rally started from Islampura and culminated at Karbala Gamay Shah. The entire route of the rally was strictly monitored and all the connecting roads were cordoned off.
The intermittent rain and construction activities on the Lower Mall did not deter the participants; however, the commuters had to face some troubles owing to traffic mess.
The rally participants marched while carrying banners and placards inscribed with anti-US and anti-Israel slogans. ISO Pakistan’s central leader Abuzar Mehdi and office-bearers of Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen’s Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi, Maulana Abdul Khaliq Asadi, Amjad Kazmi, Ahmed Raza Khan and others spoke on the occasion and condemned Israel for its violence against the innocent people of Palestine.
They said people of Pakistan were united for the freedom of Baitul Muqadas and Palestine. They also said time of Israel’s destruction had arrived and soon it would be wiped out from the map of the world.
The speakers also condemned America and Israel, saying both these countries were behind the unrest in Syria. They also condemned atrocities against Muslims in Burma.
They condemned America for backing and supporting Israel and also expressed concerns over the poor law and order situation in different parts of Pakistan. The rally participants also set ablaze flags of US and Israel.The news.
