Rawalpindi:Students of The City School, Junior Branch, Harley Street, celebrated Global Hand Washing Day. They actively participated in speeches conveying messages about importance of keeping hands clean. An activity of ‘hand washing’ was also arranged, in which all students washed their hands in order to ensure the importance of keeping hands clean.
Students had made badges and slogans on the importance of hand washing. Students were also given facts about the number of children falling ill in Pakistan due to unhygienic environmental conditions.
They were told that hand washing is one of the preventive ways to keep away diseases. School Principal Samina Raja said that parents should ensure that children wash their hands before eating anything, so that they are prevented from five major diseases. THE NEWS
