Government College University Faisalabad to hold 8th annual convocation

FAISALABAD:03 December:Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) will organise its 8th annual convocation at new campus on December 13. A spokesman of the university said here on Saturday that Punjab governor and GCUF chancellor would grace the occasion as chief guest, whereas GCUF vice chancellor would preside over the event for which all arraignments were being finalised.

Six awarded PhD degrees by University of Agriculture Faisalabad

FAISALABAD:03 october:At least six scholars were awarded PhD degrees by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on Monday. The total number of PhDs from UAF rose to 1,587. A spokesman of the university said that on the recommendations of external examiners and after fulfilling all the requirements, the UAF vice-chancellor issued directives to issue PhD degrees to six scholars who passed their final examination in 2017.

UAF restores nine expelled students after apology

FAISALABAD :02 August:At least nine students of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), who were expelled on charges of criticising the university administration and putting up ‘critical posts’ on social media, were allowed to continue studies after the vice-chancellor accepted their appeals. Those expelled included Sehrish Amin, Waqas Zia, Awais Shabbir, Muhammad Awais Ali Khan, Arabaz Hasan, Umar Bilal, Muhammad Isfandyar Javed, Ghulam Jelani and Zubair Iqbal. PHEC orders immediate redressal of students’ issues

LAHORE:13July:The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) has taken serious notice of protests by Indus Institute’s students in Dera Ghazi Khan and their degree affiliation issues. PHEC has directed the Indus Institute, Government College University Faisalabad and National College of Business Administration and Economics Lahore to take immediate action and address the concerns of students Separate letters have been written by PHEC to the three aforementioned institutions for immediate compliance and with an order to submit a report by July 20, 2017.
