A Turkish Delegation Visits LUMS

Lahore: 05 July: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Lahore has announced that A five-member Turkish delegation visited Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on July 4, 2012. The delegation included Ms. Senay Gumus, International Office Coordinator Istanbul Kemerburgaz Unıversıty; Ms. Hande Baltacı, Specialist, International Office, Özyeğin University; Mohammad Abbasi, Assistant Admin Officer, International Office Özyeğin University; Muhammad Faisal Janjua, CEO, J. Brothers (Pvt) Ltd and Irfan Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Cross Culture.
On behalf of LUMS, the delegation was welcomed by Ms. Javaria Najeeb, Deputy Manager Marketing & External Relations LUMS. It was a preliminary meeting to bring Pakistan and Turkish universities to work closely together. During the meeting, the delegation expressed their interest in the prospects of collaborations amongst LUMS and Turkish Universities through exchange programmes and student recruitment drives from both countries. Ms. Najeeb briefed the delegation about LUMS history and its offerings from the schools at LUMS.
She also discussed LUMS’ take on the National Outreach Programme (NOP), which envisions opening up doors of quality higher education for all. During the session, numerous initiatives and collaborations of LUMS in various sectors were also discussed. The delegation appreciated the contribution of LUMS and its efforts towards the availability of quality education for all.
Later, they were taken on a tour of LUMS campus. Mr. Khalid Mahmood Butt, Deputy Manager Administration also accompanied during the tour.
