LAHORE:June 12:Mutahida Mahaz Asataza Punjab (MMAP) while rejecting 20 per cent increase in salaries of government employees has announced a protest demonstration in front of Parliament House, Islamabad on June 14.
This was decided as per a press statement in a meeting held on Monday. MMAP leadership also invited all the teachers’ associations to be part of the protest. The meeting observed that 20 per cent increase was nothing in the wake of 100 per cent increase in inflation. The teachers also claimed that Federal Minister Syed Khursheed Shah in a meeting with a delegation of students had announced revision of scales but the same could not be implemented, which had upset the teachers and now they were compelled to come on roads.The news.
