Successful public defense of PU PhD scholar

Lahore: 20 July: Punjab University Department of Physics PhD scholar Muhammad Najam Shaikh has successfully defended his PhD Thesis Public Defense. The title of his thesis is “Linear and Nonlinear waves in Magnetic and Plasma like Media”.The research supervisor of Muhammad Najam Shaikh is Dr Rashid Ali. In this research work linear and nonlinear waves have been studied in magnetic-semiconducting and layered media.
This research work concludes that there is a possibility to study coupled phenomena in magnetic and plasma like media. Further it can be concluded that under suitable conditions the wave propagation in these media can be utilized in the modern devices.
