Spring festival held at SLS Montessori & School

Rawalpindi:April 08:As the Spring Festival Week started in all branches of SLS Montessori & School, colourful activities were held in all the classes from Montessori to class V throughout the week. Spring Colour Days were celebrated in which students came to the school in coloured clothes according the ‘Colour of the Day Theme’ such as Red Day, Orange Day etc.
School was decorated with different colourful hangings, flowers and balloons depicting the theme of spring.
Children brought one spring flower and fruit each for example roses and daffodils and strawberries and shared it with their classmates. Children made colourful kites with chart papers and decorated them with crape paper strips and beads.
Gardening activities were also held in which children were taught to water the plants and differentiate between the various spring flowers. Children pasted green leaves made from glazed paper on the trees to beautify them.

A special presentation was held on the last day of the week in which parents were also invited to witness their children’s performance.

In the end children presented hand made ‘Happy Spring Season’ cards, which they had prepared by themselves for the teachers whereas beautifully crafted hand made cards with ‘Thank you for celebrating spring with us’ written inside them, were given to the parents by the teachers.
