LAHORE:19 March: PU book fair 2012 surpassed all previous records of book sales when 100,616 books were sold during the 3-day book fair which concluded here Saturday.
According to statistics provided by the PU Deputy Chief Librarian Haroon Usmani on Sunday, 7787 books were sold on first day, 20,268 on second day while 72,561 books were sold on the third day of book fair.
He said the landmark success of the book fair is a result of collective efforts of PU and reflective of the fact that PU book fair has succeeded in promoting love for book reading among the masses.Pakistan today.
