Private candidates shine in Multan board

MULTAN: Private candidates secured top positions in the intermediate annual examination 2011 here on Saturday.

Declaring the results, Controller Examination Prof Muhammad Akbar Chaudhry said that 33,466 candidates, out of total 66,765, were declared successful. The pass percentage was 50.12. Only three candidates of government schools were among 39 position holders.

The three position holders from government schools included Quratul Ain of Govt Degree College for Women Mian Channu (Roll No 501796, 986 marks) and Nida Anbreen of Government Degree College for Women Jalalpur Pirwala (Roll No 512102, 959 marks). Muhammad Imran of Higher Secondary School Qaboola (Roll No 516358, 922 marks) secured the third position. Misbah Mushtaq of Punjab College for Women Multan (Roll No 107369) secured overall top position with 1034 marks. She was awarded a brand new P4 computer, a gold medal and Rs 20,000 cash prize.

Arooba Safeer of Punjab College for Women Multan (Roll No 106721) and Usman Sabir of Rise College of Science for Boys Multan (Roll No 105298) shared the second position with 1025 marks. They received Rs 15,000 and a silver medal each. Ayesha Ikram of The Hawk Higher Secondary School, Khanewal (Roll No 100263) and Muslim Raza of Punjab College of Information Technology Multan (Roll No 107734) shared the third position with 1024 marks. They claimed Rs 10,000 and appreciation certificate each.

Pre-Medical Group (Boys): Muhammad Rizwanullah secured the first position with 1019 marks, Ali Hussain stood second with 1016 marks while Muhammad Babar Mushtaq and Muhammad Sajid Qasim shared the third position with 1014 marks.

Pre-Medical Group (Girls): Misbah Mushtaq (1034 marks), Arooba Safeer (1025 marks) and Ayesha Ikram (1024 marks) were the position holders.

Pre-Engineering Group (Boys): Usman Sabir (1025 marks) secured the first position. Muslim Raza (1024 marks) was second while Hafiz Muhammad Taimoor and Muhammad Masood Arshad shared the third position with 1023 marks.

Pre-Engineering Group (Girls): Raiha Hussain (1011 marks) secured the first position. Saira Arshad (1004) stood second while and Aneeqa Sikandar (992 marks) was at the third place.

General Science Group (Boys): Abbas Hussain (992 marks) secured the first position. Luqman Abdullah (933 marks) got the second position while Muhammad Adil Akbar and Mughees Ahmad Mirza shared the third position with 927 marks.

General Science Group (Girls): Hafiza Nayab Ayesha (980 marks) secured the first position. Hajra Tariq (979 marks) and Sahar Noor (953 marks) secured the second and third positions respectively.

Commerce Group (Boys): Muhammad Ali Asghar (969 marks) got the first position. Iftikhar Ahmad (952 marks) was the second place while Sherjeel Ahmad (951 marks) secured the third position.

Commerce Group (Girls): Aroosa Kanwal (980 marks), Aroosa Nisar (958 marks) and Sidra Mustansar (956 marks) were the position holders.

Humanities Group (Boys): Muhammad Usman (936 marks) got the first position. Mubashar Islam (931 marks) and Muhammad Imran (922 marks) secured the second and third positions respectively.

Humanities Group (Girls): Quratul Ain (986 marks) secured the first position. Nida Anbreen (959 marks) and Rahat Bashir (951 marks) secured the second and third positions respectively.The news.
