LGS wins Best School Award at Harvard UN moot

LAHORE:August 28: Lahore Grammar School (LGS), Defense Branch, has won one of the top three Best School awards at the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations (HUMN India 2012) Conference held in Hyderabad India between Aug 16 to 19.
Harvard Model UN moots are active for the last 75 years and students from all over the world attend conferences in USA,China and India each year to simulate UN working and debate issues of international significance. Its note worthy that out of top three Best School awards, the top two awards were won by Pakistani Schools i.e Karachi Grammar School (Best School Large Delegation) and Lahore Grammar School Defense (Best School Small Delegation) . The third Best School award is won a Singapore School. Lahore Grammar School and Karachi Grammar School won a number of individual awards at the conference on the basis of which they won the two top Best School Awards.
Lahore Grammar School delegation comprised of six students and faculty advisor. The name of the six students of the Lahore Grammar School team are: Mahnoor Faisal, Mohammad Raza, Neha Mukhtar, Maaheen Afzaal, Ayesha Anjum, Shaheera Saleem.
Over 1000 delegates participated in the Harvard Model UN Conference in India from over 150 schools from all over the world representing 199 countries.
