IUB Vice Chancellor directs special arrangements during Ramazan ul Mubarak

Bahawalpur: 04 Aug: The Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar has extended his greetings to the university faculty, students and citizens of Bahawalpur on the commencement of the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak and has expressed hope that the Muslim Ummah will reap maximum benefit from the beneficence and blessings of this month through abstinence and devotion with the excellent display of glorious Islamic traditions by promoting mutual harmony, sacrifice and tolerance. The Vice Chancellor was addressing a meeting of senior faculty members to review arrangements made in the university during the holy month of Ramazan in accordance with its sanctity. He expressed his satisfaction that for the first time in history of the university academic session has concluded within stipulated time and all academic and research activities continued in a peaceful manner. The Vice Chancellor advised the university management on this occasion to specially arrange the messing facility for the personnel performing duty at the time of Sahar and Iftar. In this regards he directed to constitute a special committee under the supervision of Director Students’ Affairs Dr Mehmood Ahmed. The Vice Chancellor also advised special arrangements in all three masjids of Abbasia and Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus along with Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan Campuses so that the students and university employees may offer Namaz-e-Taraveeh with devotion and dedication besides the provision of shady places for Namaz-e-Juma. On this occasion it was informed that the special office timings to be observed during the sacred month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak have already been implemented in the university. The Vice Chancellor urged upon the philanthropists to come forward for the financial help of the deprived sections of the society particularly the deserving students so that a model Islamic society may be constituted on the basis of equality.
