Bahawalpur: 04 Oct: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that students in the university are like his own children and a great responsibility lies with the university management in this regard. The Vice Chancellor was talking to the students and university officials on the occasion of his surprise visit to Aysha Hall and Fatima Hall in Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus last evening. He reiterated that no negligence would be tolerated in provision of food, security and medical facilities in the hostels. The Vice Chancellor soon after his arrival checked the record of the register maintaining details of the entrance and exit of students and their visitors on the main gate and directed the hostel staff to implement the stipulated schedule strictly. The Vice Chancellor paid a detailed visit to dining rooms of both the hostels and checked food being supplied and expressed his satisfaction over the quality of food and hygienic environment in kitchens and advised the staff for further improvement in this regard. He also expressed his pleasure on general cleanliness and anti-dengue spray in the hostels. He also directed hostel wardens to arrange sports facilities for girl students. On this occasion dozens of girls students expressed their delight for surprise visit of the Vice Chancellor and thanked him with submission of various proposals for the hostels. The Vice Chancellor advised senior students to welcome their fresh juniors and provide them complete guidance. The Chairman Hall Council also briefed him about the functioning of newly constructed hostel for girl students. Senior faculty members and university management officials were also present on this occasion.
