GCU increases intermediate seats

Lahore:08 August: VICE Chancellor Government College University (GCU) Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rahman increased 130 seats for admissions to Intermediate (first year) due to raised number of applicants this year.

This is for the first time in 10 years that GCU increased seats at the Intermediate level. The first merit list for admissions to first year pre-engineering was closed at 971 marks, pre-medical 971 marks, computer science (ICS) 930 marks, general science 850 marks, commerce (I.Com) 870 marks while arts was 830 marks.

GCU Registrar Anjum Nisar said a second merit list would be displayed on Saturday, August 13 but it would be subject to availability of seats. Meanwhile, GCU Directorate of Sports postponed the cricket trials due to heavy rain in the City.

Now, the trails would be held at Punjab University Old Campus Ground at 8am on August 13. Venue for athletic trials was also changed, which would now be held on August 7 (today) at GCU Oval -Ground.
