Female law student claims

RAWALPINDI:July 20: A female law student has complained to local police that a man and his two sons humiliated her for tendering legal advice to their rivals.

In her report to the R.A. Bazaar police station, Ms S alleged that while she was on way her home in Tench Bhata from the district courts on Tuesday, the three accused accosted her and stripped her naked.

Ms S named the two persons for shadowing her which made her stride faster. A white car then suddenly blocked her way and two brothers sitting in it allegedly dragged her inside.

One of the car riders held her tightly while the other tore away her shirt, and despite her struggle, stripped her naked, she claimed.

She further alleged that in the meantime the two other persons, who were already chasing her, also reached there while carrying pistols. Seeing the armed men, none of the onlookers tried to intercept them, she said.

She added that the attackers escaped after pushing her out of their car.

“It was a motorcycle rider who stopped on seeing me lying on the road. He covered my body with a scarf and then left the scene,” the law student said in her FIR.

When Ms S was contacted, she said the attackers also deprived her of her purse containing Rs1,250, two gold bangles and a gold necklace.

She added: “It all happened within a span of seven minutes but none of the onlookers attempted to help me fearing that they would be implicated in litigation and police investigations.”

When contacted, the station house officer of R.A. Bazaar, Inspector Raja Musaddiq said an FIR had been registered on the
complaint of the female law student and raids launched to arrest the suspects.

He said the real circumstance of the incident could be known after the police completed its investigation.Dawn.
