LAHORE:June 25: The participants of an Educational Conference have announced to launch a countrywide movement on the pattern of Defense of Pakistan Council against implementation of secular education system in the country on foreign pressure.
Jamaat-ud-Dawa arranged the conference at Jamia Masjid Al-Qadsia on Sunday. Experts and teachers participating in the conference from across the country decided to constitute educational boards at central and provincial levels and hold seminars and convention to create public awareness about conspiracies against educational system.
Terming change in the medium from Urdu to English a part of the conspiracy to remove nationalism from the brain of youth, joint communiqué demanded the government to simplify curriculum and allow students to choose medium of their choice.
Welcoming Punjab Ombudsman’s decision of reviving Urdu medium and directing Punjab Text Book Board to simplify books in accordance with the capacity of the students, it urged the government to implement the decision in letter and spirit.
It demanded ban on secular curriculum of Sir Agha Khan Board.
Expressing concerns over removal of suras from the syllabus of Islamiat, it demanded the government to revert to the original syllabus. It urged the government to consult own experts instead of foreigners for revising the existing syllabus.Nation.
