LAHORE:June 09: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha has called for the setting up ofcombine laboratories to ensure the quality of food and feed of livestock.
He was addressing at certification distribution ceremony on Veterinary Disease Diagnostic Techniques on Friday at Syndicate room. The workshop was organized by University Diagnostic Lab.
He said that the government should make combine system to gauge the quality of food, feed as well as meat.
The Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that partnership between Telenor and Livestock and Dairy Development Department would be largely benefited farmers in terms of getting timely information for their livestock businesses through telecommunication. He termed it as a great initiative.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that "poultry sector is the most attractive for investment because it has become the second largest industryafter textile.
The livestock growth was not satisfactory a decade ago. When the university was establised the government as well as investors paid its due attention with association of university's academia.F.P. Report.
