The GCU spokesman said that the university successfully followed its academic calendar throughout the year and would reopen for its students on September 10 after the summer break. The complete time-table and schedule for all classes is put on the GCU website for the convenience of students.
Meanwhile, Government College University Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman has revived two-year Masters in Political Science to provide an opportunity of quality education to the students who have two-year bachelor's degrees. The GCU Syndicate and Academic Council approved the Masters programme. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman said that this was first Masters programme revived by GCU since MA/MSc was replaced by the BA/BSc (Hons) programme in 2007. "The Masters programme is lunched keeping in view our educational responsibilities towards nation, market demand and the dearth of opportunities regarding quality higher education for the students with two-year bachelor's degrees," Prof Khaleeq added.F.P.report.
