Lahore: 02 March : British High Commission’s Immigration Liaison Officer Ms Sally Morriss on Wednesday visited Punjab University and met Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran.
Registrar Punjab University Prof Dr Khan Raas Masood Khan, Controller Examinations Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Director External Linkages Maria I Maldonado, British High Commission’s Immigration Liaison Advisor Kashif Awan attended the meeting. Dr Kamran informed the delegation about the academic activities of the university. Ms Morriss discussed issues regarding verification of documents of the applicants seeking visas to United Kingdom.
Controller Examinations Prof Dr Liaqat Ali responded to her questions and detailed the degree verification process, which is the most efficient being practiced in the varsity. He said that the university had a rich record of degrees and the department had verified degrees before the creation of Pakistan. Later, the British delegation visited various branches of examinations department where they were given detailed briefing regarding the operations of the relevant sections.
