Beaconhouse National University film festival

LAHORE:07 April: The Annual Short Film Fest 2012 of Beaconhouse National University (BNU) TV, Film and Theatre Department kicked off at Alhamra Hall on Friday.

On the opening day of the two-day event, thirteen short films and one play was screened in three sessions interspersed with panel discussions by academicians to dilate on the themes and techniques of the documentaries shown.

In the first session, ‘The Plumber’ by Saad Khalid, ‘Shades of Grey’ by Sehar Zafar, ‘Bulha ki Jana Mai Kon’ by Mumtaz Awais, ‘La-Shaur’ by Kabeer Hussain and the drama ‘Quratul Ain’ by Hina Imtiaz, were screened. In the second session, ‘Fun-e-Pehlawani’ by Mukhtar Ali, ‘Ball Boy’ by Sharukh Naveed, ‘Kafan’ by Hassan Tariq and ‘Sakreen Beauty’ by Hisham bin Munawar were screened.

The third and last session included screenings of ‘Big Day’ by Mujtaba Khan, ‘Meri Tum’ by Nasir Ali, ‘RGB’ by Muhammad Zain, ‘Sogandhi’ by Nasir Ali Mazari and ‘Mirage’ by Sabrina Malik.
