Withholding of Roll Number Slips of 450 Students By RBISE Protested

Rawalpindi:Students, their parents and teachers associations have voiced strong protest against withholding of roll number slips of 450 candidates in respect of 9th class annual examination by Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE).
The RBISE has withheld roll number slips of 450 students of 9th class examination commencing from March, 19 putting their one precious academic year at stake.
Roll slips in respect of 300 students have been withheld in the name of underage students and 150 students under the pretext of readmission fee.
150 students falling under the category of re-admission fee have already deposited Rs 1000 and now they have been asked to pay Rs 1000 per each student more besides depositing Rs 500 per day on account of penalty from October 2013 todate.
Ibrar Ahmad Khan, president of All Pakistan Private School Management Association has termed withholding of roll
number slips illegal and wrong step.
The board has withheld roll number slips in respect of 300 students declaring them under age, he said adding the board should not have accepted their admission farm if they were found under age.
Re-admission fee is jugga tax as these students have already paid fee, therefore, their registration can not be cancelled, he stated.
This step will be challenged in the court, he declared.
