Lahore:23 April:University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore and the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Friday to work together, coordinate their efforts and pool multiple resources to train the department's officers/officials to enhance their professional capacity.
According to a press release, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Livestock and Dairy Development Department (L&DD Department) Secretary Nasim Sadiq signed the memorandum under which the UVAS would organise capacity-building programmes for L&DD Department officers/officials ranging from district livestock officers and directors to para-veterinary staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in technical and professional development. The university would also design training modules for the capacity-building trainings and other supporting activities for the L&DD Department.
The L&DD Department will identify its training demands and needs in consultation with UVAS administration and faculty. The department will extend its maximum possible assistance to the UVAS faculty and training team in arranging the training and HR/skill development initiatives. Meanwhile, UVAS arranged a meeting with community members, a walk and an awareness seminar at its Ravi Campus, Pattoki, as part of the “National Enrollment Drive” in the country to enroll maximum number of out-of-school-children this month.The news.
