Technical Education Training Authority to upgrade syllabus

LAHORE:25 august:Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has surveyed more than 200 industries and companies to upgrade its syllabus of three-year diploma programme as according to the international standards and needs of the industry. After the survey, syllabus will be upgraded which would produce associate engineers according to the needs of industry, said Tevta Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while presiding over a meeting held to review progress in different projects of Tevta with Japan at Tevta Secretariat on Thursday. He said the reason behind Japan’s progress and development lay in preparation of skilled workforce, therefore, Tevta was taking benefit of the services of JICA. He said, "Master trainers from Japan are providing technical and skill training to our students as well as teachers”.The news.
