Students visit military units

LAHORE:04 August: A group of students and faculty members from a private university spent a day out visiting various military units and formations of Pakistan Army at Lahore Garrison. According to an ISPR press release, the programme was specifically organised to enlighten students on routine functioning of Pakistan Army, its organisation and defence capability. The day-long programme started with wreath-laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Pakistan Army. The students visited a field formation and had an informal interaction with officers and soldiers. Later, they witnessed arms and equipment display, including small arms fire at the firing ranges. The programme culminated with flag lowering ceremony at Wagah border. The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of Pakistan Army and expressed their gratitude for being provided a life time experience and opportunity.The news.
