Shahbaz shut 10,000 schools for the poor

Lahore:21 March: Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said when he was chief minister, his government provided free education, books and stipends to schoolchildren to bringing the children of the poor to the government schools. “I am worried that contrary to our measures, Shahbaz Sharif closed down 10,000 schools where the children of the poor were getting education. I always ask Chief Minister Usman Buzdar that he should start from where we had left,” said the PA Speaker during the inauguration of a campus of a private school in Gujrat on Wednesday. Former Nazim Chaudhry Shuja Zeb Jaura, parliamentarians Syed Faiz-ul-Hassan Shah, Chaudhry Abdullah Yousuf Warraich, former Provincial Minister Mian Imran Masood, Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool Shariq, Chaudhry Hashim Zeb Jaura and other notables were also present. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said they established schools, colleges and Gujrat University and such other educational institutions during Pakistan Muslim League-Q government in Punjab. Gujrat University is a state-of-the-art educational institution where 17,000 girls and boys were studying. Pick and drop facilities to the students for other cities are also available, he said, adding, unfortunately, the previous government did not provide a single penny to Gujrat University. By establishing a few Daanish schools, education could not be promoted, he said, adding that today Daanish schools too had failed like "Neeli, Peeli Taxi” and mechanical Tandoors. He said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan has good faith and he has love for the poor in his heart.” Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has a good heart. “God-willing well work together for the welfare of the people.”The news.
