LAHORE:11 July: A free summer school “Afkkar-e-Taza Create Conclave” has been opened by Centre for Governance and Policy of Information Technology University (ITU) for teenage and early adult students with marginalised background. In his opening message on the occasion, ITU Punjab founding Vice-Chancellor Dr Umar Saif said it showed ITU’s commitment to bring the less privileged from the surrounding areas on a par with the others. While appreciating the third summer school initiated by ITU, Dr Saif said learning was a continuous lifelong experience which needed to be continued even in summer vacation. “Afkar-e-Taza Creative Conclave” summer school, opened on Tuesday, will be continued till August 3, 2018 from 12 noon to 5 pm. Inspired by Allama Iqbal's vision to create new worlds through new and fresh thoughts and ideas, the school aims to equip students with life learning skills so that they might become active and responsible citizens and contribute towards the nation and the country.
