LAHORE:17 July: More than 43,000 students sat the admission test for bachelors in engineering degree programmes held at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore campuses on Sunday. The exam was conducted at 12 centres administered by the UET in different cities including Lahore and Islamabad. Talking to the media on the occasion, UET Vice Chancellor Prof Ahmad Fazal Khalid said the country would be needing services of thousands of engineers in the coming years in view of the various projects identified under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The university administration will organise Open Days on July 27 and 28 to familiarise prospective students with facilities available at different faculties and to help them choose disciplines favouring their aptitude.
