Daycare centre inaugurated LAHORE:30 january; Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din said the Punjab government had adopted measures for women empowerment. She said this while inaugurating a daycare centre at Government College for Women, Baghanpura. Principal Rubina Ahmed Farooqi, Colleges DPI Zahid Mian, Women Development Director Arshad Baig, teachers and students were present. The minister said the Punjab government was setting up daycare centres across the province to facilitate working women. More than 102 daycare centres had been established so far and more would be set up during current fiscal year, she said. Pakistani women have a lot of potential and they have proved it in different sectors,” Hameeda said and added that women quota in government jobs has increased from 5 to 15 percent.
