GUJRANWALA:August 22: The BISE Gujranwala announced results of 9th class exams on Thursday according to which 87,339 passed the exams showing a percentage of only 36.36 per cent.
As many as 240,088 candidates appeared in the examination in which girls have outshined boys, while the government schools’ students performed better than that of private ones.
76,397 boys appeared in the Science Group out of which 25,278 got through showing a pass parentage of 33.09 per cent. Likewise, 53,158 girls appeared in the Science Group out of whom 26,548 got passed the exams, hence a pass parentage of 49.54 per cent.
23,052 boys and 33,224 girls appeared in the Humanities Group, while the pass percentage for them was 22.18 per cent and 42.33 per cent respectively, showing that the girls’ performance was much better than the boys.
10,805 private candidates appeared in the Science Group but only 21.53 per cent passed the exams. In the Humanities Group, there were 43,458 private candidates appeared but only 13,223 remained successful.
Controller Examination Tanvir Zafar said the results of candidates from schools were dispatched to their respective schools, while the results of private candidates were being sent to their address by post.The news.
