Rawalpindi: The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has approved the recurring budget of Rs 2049.183 million the fiscal year 2017-18. The budget was approved in the Finance and Planning Committee meeting held at the main campus. It was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad. The other committee members included representative members of University Syndicate as well the government departments representatives. The committee estimated Rs 2049.173 million expenditure and Rs 2049.183 million in income. The university expects Rs 701.026 million grant from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Rs 78.423 million from the the Punjab government. Prof Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad thanked the participants for their valuable contribution and said it is the first time of the PMAS-AAUR that the university's income had been equal to the grants of the HEC and the Punjab government. He also added that the heads of the departments would be provided financial management training.Daily Times.
