Lahore:March 02:University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmed Khalid on Tuesday addressed the foreign students enrolled in the varsity and said it was a prime duty of the institute to come to the expectations of learners, especially those who came from abroad and chose UET for getting higher education.
The VC further said UET Lahore was open for foreign universities and industries to develop collaborations in research, academia and employment.
He also said UET wanted to enhance the enrollment of foreign students on priority basis adding the university was preferred by foreign students in engineering education due to its transparent merit policy and modern pedagogical skills. He also emphasised that Pakistan was a land of peace loving people and wanted to extend its relations with the world.
Currently students from countries like Jordan, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Malaysia are enrolled in UET, Lahore.
Prof Fazal A. Khalid further said faculty, administration and other staff were available to serve the foreign students and resolve their issues on priority basis.
He also expressed hope that foreign students would not only bring laurels to UET Lahore but would also fulfil the expectations of their parents and countries by paying full attention and participate in the academic and co-curricular activities..The news.
