Lahore:30 June:Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that hard-working and competent male and female students are the symbol of bright future of Pakistan.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of students of a private University here on Wednesday.
He said the Punjab government had added 47 percent additional budget to the upcoming year for the education sector as compare to the previous budget.
He said collectively Rs 256 billion had been allocated for school education.
He said that due to the personal interest of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, basic facilities were provided to more than 52,000 schools of Punjab.
He said more than 2 million students would get technical and vocational training in Punjab under the skilled strategy 2018.
Moreover, 400,000 laptops will be distributed among students on merit, he said, adding that this year 100 percent increase had been made in Punjab endowment fund.The news.
