Lahore:June 25:Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday formed a committee to devise a plan for arrangement of emergency medical care at universities in the province.
The decision was taken in view of a report submitted by the CM’s Inspection Team on the death of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) student Moeen Manzoor on Friday.
The report stated that the student had died of heart attack. It said there was no arrangement at the university for provision of emergency medical care.
The Punjab Higher Education Commission chairman was made in charge of the committee. Other members would be vice chancellors of public and private universities.
The chief minister also directed the health secretary to give his recommendations on the matter.Published in The Express Tribune, June 25th, 2016.
